The new covering boards are compound curved, stack laminated, nailed cove and bead mahogany like a canoe with the last piece having a rabbet that accepts the decking. As you can see there is no perimeter seam where the decking meets the covering boards also as originally constructed. The new deck planks are compound curved, tongue & grooved Honduras mahogany that is “blind nailed” as it was originally constructed.
